Sturgeon Youth Council meets every two weeks in the Namao Room at the main Sturgeon County building. 

Youth Council takes part in the following activities: 

  • Festival of Trees
  • Youth Conference
  • Enjoy guest speakers
  • Participate in Volunteer opportunities

     

What's New?

Sturgeon Youth Council is once again very busy this year with volunteering, charity work, planning a youth conference and organizing youth leadership activities. The youth members are Anastasia Ross, Brianna Borgen, Kirstyn KcKinney, Natasha Maltais, Samantha Ringuette, Kaitlin Roberts, Travis Loseth, Brittany Ringuette and Cynthia Vansevenandt. Some of this year’s projects include designing, shopping and displaying a tree at the Festival of Trees in Edmonton where all money raised is going toward the brain science program at the University of Alberta; volunteering at numerous events within the County, attending the STUFF Conference in Fort Saskatchewan, planning youth activities (i.e. corn maze, movies, roller-skating, WEM) and planning a regional youth conference to take place April 1-3, 2011.
