Agriculture Services

Agriculture Services provides identification and information services on weed, pest and insect control, is responsible for controlling weeds and mowing oiled County road allowances, and maintains all County registered drainage ditches.
Water management concerns such as flooding, watercourse cleaning, or stream bank erosion control should be forwarded to Alberta Environmental Protection

Agricultural Services also awards the Farm & Acreage Beautification Awards for property beautification. The Awards recognize individuals who through yard maintenance and beautification of their properties have fostered civic pride, environmental awareness and municipal beautification. Nominations are being accepted till July 18, 2011. Awards will be presented August 4, 2011 at the Agricultural Services Board dinner. 

Agricultural Service Board
The Agriculture Services Board promotes practices that benefit the agricultural community through our conservation program. The Board is an advisory body that assists Council and the Minister of Agriculture Food and Rural Development in dealing with local agricultural concerns. Its mandate is to promote, enhance, develop and protect viable and sustainable agriculture while improving the economic viability of the agricultural producer. Meetings are the second Wednesday, bi-monthly.
