Dale MacMillan Memorial Scholarship

Sturgeon County residents enrolled in a recognized post secondary education institution are invited to apply for the 2009 Dale MacMillan Memorial Scholarship for Community Leadership.

This scholarship publicly recognizes and commemorates the contributions and dedication of Dale MacMillan, who was instrumental in helping achieve a balance between residents and gravel extraction operations in the Calahoo and Villeneuve area.

The scholarship is not open to members or immediate family members of the Calahoo-Villeneuve Gravel Extraction Committee or Sturgeon County Council.

Alberta Association of Municipal Districts & Counties Scholarship Program

The AAMD&C Scholarship Program is designed to encourage young rural Albertans to pursue further education and enhance the ability of young people to make meaningful contributions to their communities.

Through its scholarship program, the AAMD&C provides funding assistance to five rural students each year (one student from each of the five AAMD&C geographic districts).

This scholarship is available for Sturgeon County residents, registered to commence their first year of studies at a recognized post-secondary institution. View the AAMD&C Scholarship Program website for eligibility and application information.
