Dog Licenses

Dog control is enforced in numerous hamlets and subdivisions throughout the county (see dog control areas below). All dogs in these areas are required to be licensed annually.

Licenses can be purchased at the County Centre or by mailing the appropriate fee and registration form to Sturgeon County by January 31.

No more than three dogs are allowed per household. Exceeding three dogs requires a kennel permit.

Cost
$20 neutered male and spayed female dog with veterinary certificate
$30 unneutered male and unspayed female dog
