Permanent employees who work 17.5 hours a week or more receive the following benefits:


Unless otherwise stated, premiums are paid 20% by employee and 80% by employer

Annual Vacation

All salaried employees receive annual vacation with pay, based on the following schedule:
 

  1 year 15 days 12 years 23 days
  2 years 16 days 14 years 24 days
  3 years 17 days 16 years 25 days
  4 years 18 days 18 years 26 days
  5 years 19 days 20 years 27 days
  6 years 20 days 22 years 28 days
  8 years 21 days 24 years 29 days
  10 years 22 days 26 years 30 days


Permanent hourly employees receive vacation pay based on the following schedule:

First 6 years - 6%
After 6 years - 8%
After 16 years - 10%
After 26 years - 12%

Non-permanent hourly employees receive 4% of their annual wages for vacation pay.

Construction employees receive 6% of their wages as vacation pay.

Management Days

Management is not entitled to overtime. It is recognized that management does incur overtime by the following:

  • Reporting to work before start time
  • Working late
  • Meetings held at night/on weekends
  • Taking work home


To recognize the extra time put in by managers, the County awards five management days per year. The days awarded are for the current calendar year and must be used before December 31. Management days are intended to be used for occasional days off. There shall be no pay out for management days.
