Road Bans
Effective 7:00 a.m. July 21, 2010 ROAD BAN 05/2010 the following bans are in place
-Lost Point Lake Estates Subdivision – has been reduced from a 50% to 75%
-Rge Rd 241 – from Twp Rd 553 going south to Hwy 37 – 50%
Road Closure
The Transportation Department will be replacing a centerline culvert on Range Road 234 between Twp Road 552 & Twp Road 554 on Friday, August 27, 2010. This portion of the road will be closed between 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. This work will take place approximately 300 meters North of the intersection of Twp Rd 552 on Range Rd 234. Local residents North of work area will have access from Twp Road 554 going South, and residents South of work area will have access from Twp Road 552 going North. Road Closed signs will be placed at either end of both intersections. Please notify the appropriate authorities of this closure. We appreciate your patience with this project and apologize for any inconvenience.

Blackstone Filming
Transportation Services received a request from Mark Kandborg, the Location Manager for the TV Show the BLACK STONE series to shoot some film on several local gravel roads in Sturgeon County. The film company will have the appropriate flagging people working the area’s in question and emergency vehicles will have access at all times. The filming will be taking place in the next few days and weeks at the following locations:
1.Friday and Saturday – August 20 & 21, 2010 – within Sturgeon Industrial Park (W4) located off of Hwy 825 north of Boysdale Road – the crew will be filming at the west end of this subdivision on Estate Way between Rge Rd 225 and Park Road; and on the north end of Park Road north of Estate Way.
2.Tuesday August 24, and Wednesday September 1, 2010 – on Twp Rd 551 west of Range Road 244 going up the hill just beyond the railway crossing.

Line painting is scheduled to be complete August 31, 2010 weather permitting
Road Maintenance
Work crews will be working on grader patching scheduled to begin July 5, 2010 (weather permitting) in small sections of the following areas:

Road Construction
Range Road 240: From Hwy 651 north to Twp Rd 580 – work crews to begin road work August 6, 2010 with anticipated completion date of September 15 weather permitting.
